With many BDRA and other doggies at our TN home we had to make improvements to benefit the doggies physically and emotionally and make fostering workable, so the Bassim Bed and Breakfast for Blind (and other) Dogs is undergoing improvements:
There are now 9 fenced pens ranging in size from 10-400 sq. meters. The big one above usually houses The Family (Duncan, Roscoe, Harmony, Buffy, Kobe) and has a double carport for shelter/shade; in all, 8/9 have shade/rain coverings and doghouse(s).

We’ve also built the Annie-Ramp for the older and arthritic doggies like the Twins (KC and Doodles); the ramp is 5+ meters long and gently sloped.

Some doggies play all day, others like the feeble Seniors (Keller & Ginny) mostly sleep, some like Frankadoo just chill and others like Boink find novel ways to use their doghouses!

It's wonderful especially to see the doggies play outside, enjoy the sounds and smells in the wind, get a different perspective to life, breathe fresh air and experience country relaxation. And though all (except maybe Hippy) prefer being outside, all are also happy to come in to soft beds for the night!

Inside includes 4br, 3ba, utility and computer rooms plus 3 small-dog kennels so all doggies have room to sleep & play inside, with no doggies being closed in a crate ever.
Next up: 2-4 heated & air conditioned indoor/outdoor kennels allowing for quarantine, running services to it and our 35’ RV for an extra living space, perimeter fencing around 2+ acres to allow even larger running areas, another ramp plus a doggie door out from the utility room to the side pen, and a wrap-around deck from one side to the back with several enclosed rooms for daytime doggie enjoyment, similar to the enclosed front porch which the Twins (Doodles & KC) so enjoy.
It’s been difficult because in addition to spending quality time daily with our pack and many BDRA fosters, we also overnight, transport, rescue with other groups on top of working 65-70+ hours weekly this entire year. Still, the doggies are our passion and we’re working hard to build a place friendly to all blind, senior, special-needs doggies. Thank you for looking and caring for blind doggies.
